Mead-Ups
A web-based resource with topics, readings and discussion guides that allow anyone, anywhere to organize a seminar gathering.
For over 40 years, Mr. Mead held a seminar for fourth-year undergraduate students, in which they were responsible for picking the topics and leading the discussions.
When, at age 94, he could no longer continue, his role was taken on by Mike Lenox, a professor at Darden, who had himself participated in the class as a student.
In turn, some of Mike's former seminar students so enjoyed gathering for discussion that after graduation they continued hosting "Mead-Ups" to explore topics of interest.
Working with Mike, they created MeadSeminar.org.
So open the wine. Open your mind. Open the floor.
Because if a TED Talk married a book group, this would be their love child.
